Lady Gaga defends ‘incredible’ Ed Sheeran after he quits Twitter over vile trolls

Sheeran – who said one nasty comment was often enough to ruin his day – claimed some of the worst messages came from Gaga’s fans who mistakenly assumed he was speaking badly of her during an interview.
Speaking to The Sun he said: “Lady Gaga’s fanbase read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all f****** hate.
“And it wasn’t anything to do with that at all. So I think Twitter gets on a massive steam roll of assuming things and then you get in the s***.”
Gaga responded by sharing a picture of herself and Sheeran striking a thumbs up pose, and encouraged people to be “positive and loving”.
She captioned the image: “What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED @teddysphotos deserves all our love and respect like all humans do.
“I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean.”
